General terms of entry

The Short Story competition in Writers’ Forum has a rolling deadline. A story that misses the cut-off point for one issue will simply be included in the next contest. The Poetry Contest and Flash Comp have set themes and deadlines, advertised in each issue.

All entries must be original and previously unpublished – this includes in newspapers, magazines, books and on websites. Publication on private online forums that are password-protected and in private letters and emails does not count.

The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence can be entered into regarding the marking, critique or merits of individual entries or winners. But we welcome feedback on the competitions in general.

By entering, entrants agree for their stories and poems to be published in Writers’ Forum if successful. Copyright remains with the author.

The competitions are open to all nationalities worldwide, but entries must be in English.
